Hi up in the sky
The moon shines on the dunes
Even when the sun is master up there
With flower petals like rain
She showers her wise love-knowledge.
The moon shifts and so the dunes
They dance and sway their sacred danse
Sometimes alone, sometimes with the wind
Their connection ever strong, ever sweet.
The dunes change colour, They change shape
They even change location
Sometimes slowly, Sometimes quickly
Recreating
The world I need to see.
At first glance they are alone,
Untouched
But how can I know they have been untouched?
Their surface so easily disturbed
So easily erased of all trace.
Touched and untouched
It does not reveal its life in one sight
One needs time to appreciate it
And the lives it harbours
The precious nature of those who survive
Their calm purity
Ever aware of the presence
Of Grand Mother Moon
Her reassuring distance
Her loving pull
She moves the oceans
But recites poetry to anchor the Earth.
I cannot resist her passion
She ignites mine.
